The founding story
Built from lives spent inside consequential stories.
The Narrative Company was founded by Stephon Dingle with Co-Founder Lena Pringle, and strengthened from the beginning by partners who brought their own disciplines, judgment and public commitments to the work.
The vision has one accountable center without becoming a one-person institution. Its strength comes from people whose expertise in story, culture, production, partnerships, education and public life helps the company grow without losing its purpose.
The people stewarding the institution
Leadership at the core.
The founders and founding partners form the core leadership of The Narrative Company—bringing cultural intelligence, production capacity, strategic judgment and distinct responsibilities to steward one institution forward.

Stephon Dingle
Chief Narrative Steward
Stephon Dingle is the founder and Chief Narrative Steward of The Narrative Company and the creator of Narrative Leadership, an applied discipline for understanding how story shapes identity, trust, culture and decision-making. A two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, speaker, moderator, educator and former professor, he brings experience from consequential civic moments, national reporting, classrooms and public rooms into one practice of meaning-making and stewardship. Through Stories by Stephon—his living editorial home—he documents the people, places and turning points that formed him. His work helps people and institutions recognize the story leading them now, articulate what matters and build what comes next with clarity and responsibility.
